💡 Future Leaders in the Making! 🗳️ This week, our students aren't just learning about politics—they're creating it! They developed their own political parties, complete with compelling slogans and detailed manifestos on issues they care about. The challenge culminated in a final presentation, where they had to sell their vision to the class. We saw incredible critical thinking, persuasive speaking, and teamwork in action. 📸 Sociology Inspiration! Our Year 12 Sociology students recently had an amazing day at the Sociology Conference! 🤩 The highlight? Hearing directly from the incredible, pioneering feminist sociologist, Ann Oakley! Professor Oakley's work is foundational: Gender into Discourse: She was key in introducing the crucial concept of gender into academic study. The Sociology of Housework: Her research revealed the invisible, unpaid labor of domestic life, profoundly changing how we view inequality in the home.
