Autumn Concert Success

Over 120 students from Christ's School were involved in the Annual Autumn Concert on Thursday 9 November. The highlight of the concert was a brilliant performance by one hundred Year 7 students of the jazz cantata Jonah Man Jazz. The standard achieved by the cohort was exceptional.

Throughout the evening, a record number of ensembles performed including the choir, dectet, jazz band and various other groups, interspersed with solo instrumental and vocal items. Year 7 student, Jenna Boyce delivered a very professional performance of The Greatest Love of All, whilst Year 10 Daniel Murray  performed a stunning solo on the trombone. Début performances by Gerald Cuesta Mora and Sebastian Ruiz, joined by Farrel Tjokro and Ethan Ghamloush, were also memorable and accomplished, and promise to be the first of many for these performers.

The finale of the concert saw our Sixth Form students Jordan Pacho, James McWilliam and Andrew McWilliam performing classics such as Don't Worry Be Happy, House of the Rising Sun and Lullaby of Birdland.

The atmosphere and support for the performers was fantastic, and our technical crew of year 8 students ensured that we had imaginative lighting and well managed sound.
