Christ's School is Celebrating Best A Level Results
Huge smiles and tears of joy were the order of the day at Christ’s School this morning as students and staff celebrated yet another year of improved A level results. 21% of students achieved A*/A grades, 52% gained A*-B grades and there was an overall pass rate of 100%. There was success across all subjects with History, Chemistry, French, Government and Politics and Maths performing particularly well.
Christ’s Sixth Form students have secured places at top universities across the country. Dragomir Argirov with three As is the first Christ’s student to gain a place in the hugely competitive field of Dentistry – his ambition from a young age. Commenting on his success, Dragomir said, ‘I am over the moon that I achieved the results to get into my course – all the hard work paid off in the end.’ In addition to Dragomir, we are particularly delighted with the outstanding results of Lily Shield Polyzoides with an A* and 2As who is off to Exeter University to study Politics and Philosophy and Acantha Edwards with 3As grades who has an exciting gap year planned.
Commenting on the results, Matthew Morris, Head of Sixth Form at Christ's School said "I would like to congratulate all of our students. We are thrilled with their achievements. These results are a credit to our students’ hard work, the quality and commitment of all of our staff and the strong relationships that exist between our students and staff".
Helen Dixon, Headteacher at Christ’s School, applauded the efforts of the students, staff and Sixth Form team who have worked so hard to ensure this year’s success. Looking to the future, she said, ‘we are excited to be recruiting our next cohort of sixth form students to our strong and vibrant school who will continue this upward trajectory in results. ‘
