Highlights
Following our Ofsted Inspection in November 2021, we are proud that our vision and mission statement ‘to combine our expectations for students’ outstanding academic achievement with an emphasis on their personal growth as well-rounded individuals’ was recognised by Ofsted with the award of a Good grading.
We are delighted that our unique identity and desire to achieve Excellence as Standard through the dedication our staff have to ensuring students are valued and celebrated every day was recognised so strongly; “Pupils say being at Christ’s School is like belonging to a large family. Staff place high priority on providing individual care and support to each pupil, and they seek to do the very best for each of them. Pupils are proud to be members of this school. They meet the high expectations that staff have of them. They want to achieve their best”
Reflecting our culture of ambition for every student, Ofsted recognised that “leaders have planned a curriculum that is well-sequenced and ambitious for all pupils”.
Our mission is to provide outstanding educational opportunities and experiences for each of our students, to enable all to explore intellectually, to grow emotionally and spiritually and to achieve their full potential. We were, therefore delighted that Ofsted recognised that ‘the school provides an extensive programme of personal development. The programme is a real strength of the school.’
This inspection was a section 8 inspection. As a result our overall grading cannot change, however we are delighted that Ofsted recognised the significant progress that the school continues to make.
The Ofsted Inspection follows our SIAMS Inspection in 2016 where Christ’s was recognised as Outstanding. Both reports reflect the hard work that everyone involved with the school puts in on a daily basis to ensure that our students develop into mature and responsible adults.
