STUDENTS AND STAFF AT CHRIST'S SCHOOL CELEBRATE A LEVEL SUCCESS
There were celebrations and delight at Christ’s School, Richmond, as staff and students celebrated fantastic A Level results. Bucking the London trend, Christ’s achieved fantastic results, with well over 30% of students achieving the top A* and A grades.
Two of those celebrating were Ridwan R who achieved 4A*s and Armin M who received 3A*s which sees both off to study medicine. Arafat Malik was delighted with his 3A*s and an A as he heads of the UCL to study Physics.
Dominic T with 3A*s and Abigail T with A*AB were both delighted to secure their Oxbridge places. Dominic is off to Cambridge to study Economics, whilst Abigail is off to Oxford to read Theology and Religion.
Fin L, Sarah F and Daigham A-M were all delighted to achieve A*AA which sees them head off Exeter to study Business Economics, Anglia Ruskin to study medicine and Imperial College to study Materials Science and Engineering.
Commenting on the results, Helen Harris, Head of Sixth Form said "I would like to congratulate all of our students. It has been a privilege to work with our students and we are thrilled that they have received the recognition they deserve for all of their hard work. These results are fully earned and a credit to our students, the quality and commitment of our staff, and the strong relationships that exist between our students, teachers, and the sixth form leadership team. Given this is the first time our students have faced formal examinations they have performed fantastically and we wish them every success as they head to universities across the country".
Helen Dixon, Headteacher, applauded the efforts of the students, staff and the Sixth Form team who have worked so hard to ensure this year’s success, “Today we have celebrated the outstanding achievements of our students. We are very proud of their tenacity, hard work and focus which, combined with the efforts of our fantastic teaching staff and Sixth Form leadership team, have delivered these fantastic results”.
