The PE Department at Christ’s School is delighted to announce that the school has once again been recognised by The National Schools Sport Magazine as one of the top schools in the country for sport in 2025. Christ’s School has been ranked 116th out of approximately 6,000 state and independent schools nationwide, placing it in the top 1.9% of schools in the country for sporting provision and performance. This outstanding achievement highlights the continued success, commitment, and ambition of sport at Christ’s, and reflects the school’s strong culture of participation, competition, and excellence across a wide range of activities. Tom Smith, Head of PE and Assistant Headteacher, said: “We are ecstatic to be placed so highly amongst many independent schools, whose available resources and finances far outweigh those of their state school counterparts. This high-level ranking is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our students, the commitment of our PE and coaching staff, our strong community club links, and the exceptional support given to the department by senior leaders, governors, the PSA, and the wider Christ’s School community.”
