They toured the incredible BA Engineering Hangar, met employers from across the aviation industry – from Panasonic’s cutting-edge inflight entertainment to pioneers in impact-resistant materials – and tackled hands-on engineering challenges. And the highlight? ✨ Just before half term, 30 of our Year 10 students had the incredible opportunity to explore heritage and conservation careers at the 800-year-old St Mary at Hill Church in the City of London. 🔨 From stone masonry to gold gilding, students got hands-on experience with traditional crafts — and even heard behind-the-scenes stories of conservation at Buckingham Palace from the King’s Senior Conservator, Jason Clancy! 👑 A huge thank you to all the talented craftspeople who generously shared their time and expertise. We were warmly welcomed by Dr Ken Amor, who gave us a fantastic tour and shared insights into life at one of the world’s most prestigious universities. A special thank you to Christ's Alumni Abigail, now in her second year studying Theology at Oxford, who joined us to answer all the students' burning questions — including the all-important “What’s the food like?” 🍝 (Answer: The lasagne was delicious!)
